Snuggz is committed to protecting our customer’s privacy and the need to protect your personal data.  This privacy notice applies to your use of our Snuggz website, including access via mobile devices, and explains what information we collect about you, how we use it, and your rights.  Snuggz Ltd (“Snuggz”, “we” or “us) is the data controller of the personal data collected via shopsnuggz.com.   We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for any other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

What personal data do we collect about you?

We collect personal data from you when you provide it to us directly and through your use of the Site.  We use cookies, log file, IP addresses, web beacons and similar technologies to collect data when you use the Site.  We collect this data from the devices (including mobile devices) with which you access the Site.  The data collected includes the following usage and device-related information:

  • Data about the pages you visit, the access time, frequency and duration of visits
  • The links on which you click and any other actions you perform whilst using the Site directly and in our advertising and email content
  • The model or device type you are using to access the Site
  • Information you provide to us when you use of Site (e.g. your name, contact details, gender, product reviews, and any information which you add to your account profile)
  • Transaction and billing information, if you make a purchase from us or using our Site (e.g. credit/debit card details and delivery information)
  • Records of your conversations & interactions with us, including via Customer Service or Social Media
  • Location data, including the location data of your mobile device. Most mobile devices do allow you to manage or disable the use of location services for applications within the settings menu.
  • Information you provide to us when entering a competition or survey organised by Snuggz
  • Disclosure to other entities overseas - we may disclose some or all of your personal data to related or third part overseas entities pursuant to the terms of this Privacy Notice.

Data that identifies you, such as your name, address, telephone numbers or email addresses.

Financial information (e.g. credit card numbers and payment details) in connection with a transaction.

Delivery, billing and other information you provide in connection with the purchase or delivery of an item.

Other data that we are required or entitled by law to obtain and process and that we require for identification, verification and/or authentication purposes.

 

What do we do with your data?

We use your personal data for various purposes and pursuant to legal requirements.  We process your personal data primarily to operate and improve our Site and user experience, to provide you with an enhanced, personalised shopping experience on the Site.  This includes contacting you about transactions you have made, promotions and offers that you may be interested in, to provide customer service, to provide you with personalised advertising and marketing communications.  We also share your information with entities related to us and third parties for these purposes.

We process your data or data relating to you for the purpose of entering into a contract with you to supply you with goods you have purchased through the Site and our obligation to execute that contract.

Storage Duration & Erasing your Data

Your personal data will be stored securely by us and our service providers in accordance with data protection laws to the extent necessary for the processing purposes set out within this Privacy Notice.  Subsequently, we will delete your personal data or take steps to properly render the data anonymous, unless we are legally obliged to keep your personal data longer (e.g. for tax, accounting or auditing purposes).

If you no longer wish to receive email correspondence from us, simply click on the link in the email communication to unsubscribe.  If you no longer wish to receive SMS communication from us, please reply to any SMS with the word STOP. This text will be charged at your standard rate.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Subject to some limitations, as a data subject, you have a right to access, rectify, erase, restrict your personal data.  You can withdraw your consent and restrict our processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests at any time.  As a result, we may no longer process your personal data based on this consent in the future.  The withdrawal of consent has no effect on the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

You have the right to request and obtain access to your personal data that is being processed by us.  You may request information on the purposes of the processing, the categories concerned and recipient to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, the envisaged period for which it will be stored and other legitimate requests. 

You have the right to rectify any inaccurate personal data relating to you.  Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to have incomplete personal data.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation.  This also applies to profiling.  If your personal data is processed by us for direct marketing purpose, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.  In this case, please contact hello@shopsnuggz.com in the first instance to request erasure.

The exercise of above data subjects’ rights (e.g. right to access or erasure) is free of charge.  Where requests are unfounded or excessive, in particular due to their repetitive character, we may charge an appropriate fee in accordance with the applicable statutory regulations or refuse to process the application.

When you use our Site, we and carefully selected third parties may use cookies and similar tracking technology, to provide you with a better, faster and safer experience or show you targeted advertising.

In the unlikely event that we suffer a data security breach that involves your personal data such as unauthorised access to or unauthorised disclosure of your personal data or loss of your personal data that we hold; and this is likely to result in serious harm to you; and we are not able to prevent the likely risk of serious harm with appropriate remedial action; we will notify you and the regulatory authority of the details of the breach.
